Tihany - a beautiful town on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, on the Tihany peninsula

The whole peninsula is an important historical site. Perhaps the most important point of beauty is the Benedictine Abbey, founded in 1055 by Andrew I. The present church was rebuilt in 1754 by Sebastian Stuhlhof in Baroque style. The interior decoration includes a wealth of Baroque sculptures, gilded ornaments and paintings. The abbey, which is still in use today, is a tourist attraction for its historical and artistic value. The most magnificent view of Lake Balaton can be enjoyed from its grounds.

Other important attractions of the village are: pottery, echoes of Tihany, paprika house, lavender cultivation. In addition to enjoying the atmosphere of this fabulous town and the beautiful views, you can also go to the beach.
