Bridges of Budapest
			            1. Széchenyi Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) – Opened in 1849, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest and symbolized the unification of Buda and Pest.
2. Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd) – Originally built for the Millennium World Exhibition in 1896, it features ornate decorations including turuls (mythical Hungarian birds) on its top.
3. Margaret Bridge (Margit híd) – This bridge has a unique angle in the middle, connecting not only Buda and Pest but also Margaret Island.
4. Elisabeth Bridge (Erzsébet híd) – When it was completed in 1903, it was the world's longest chain-type suspension bridge with a span of 290 meters.
5. All bridges were destroyed in World War II – In January 1945, retreating German troops blew up every bridge in Budapest. All of them had to be rebuilt after the war.
