Hévíz spa

Not far from Lake Balaton is a small town, Hévíz, in the west of Hungary. The town's main attraction is the thermal spa, a natural lake with thermal waters. The warm water lake springs from several springs. In summer the water temperature is 33-35°C, in autumn and winter the temperature is lower, around 24-26°C. The medicinal water is also suitable for treating rheumatic diseases and arthritis. An interesting feature of the spa is that it is built in the middle of the lake, a kind of an island. It has both indoor and outdoor pools and, of course, massages, saunas and various treatments are available. The town is well-organised, with many wellness hotels and beauty services. Although there are a lot of tourists in summer, Hévíz is not a "party town" but rather a place to relax :)
